Ingredients

The ingredients are fit for two to four portions.

  • 2 Cups (approximately 150 gram) (whole grain) bhasmati rice, or a similar rice.
  • 4 Tablespoons peanut butter.
  • 2 Cups water.
  • ½ Teaspoon chili powder.
  • ½ Teaspoon ginger powder.
  • 1 Teaspoon coriander powder.
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar.
  • 1 Teaspoon salt.
  • 1 Beetroot.
  • 1 Carrot.
  • 2 Cups (bean) sprouts.

Preparation

  • Cut the beetroot and carrot into very small, long pieces and mix them with the sprouts.
  • Cook the rice.
  • Combine the peanut butter, water, chili powder, ginger powder, coriander powder and sugar.
  • Heat the peanut sauce slowly while stirring untill the sauce is smooth and warm.
  • Add the salt.
  • Serve the rice and vegetables unmixed, topped with the peanut sauce.
