The butterflies in the stomach are actually caterpillars

About butterflies in the stomach is spoken when certain tingles are felt in the solar plexus centre, as in the case of falling in love. Falling in love with its active solar plexus centre is different however from love itself, which makes itself known as an activity of the heart centre. In the development of man the falling in love of the solar plexus centre has to be transformed to the love itself of the heart centre.1, 2 For it is the love in the heart wherein man finds his perfection.3 And this love of perfected man can be pictured as the perfume of the lotus or the rose of the heart.4, 5 The in the heart flourishing rose with its perfume attracts the butterflies, which with their fluttering tickle the heart of man. For the butterfly is itself the perfection of its own process of transformation. The butterfly is the perfection of the transformation of the caterpillar, like the rose is the perfection of the transformation of its stem with leaves, and like activity of the heart centre is the perfection of the transformation of activity of the solar plexus centre. The butterfly we then don't find anymore on the leaves. That is the place where we find the caterpillars. The butterfly has transformed its taste and nourishes itself with sweet golden nectar, where caterpillars still serve themselves with the bitter green leaves. And there they tickle with their crawling and squirming the solar plexus of man. The butterflies in the stomach are thus actually caterpillars.
