In 'Ageless Wisdom, The Root Races' a sketch of the human root races was given.1 The first root race of rudimentary humanity was mentioned to have appeared six billion years ago and the first true human was mentioned to have appeared half way the third root race, about eighteen million years ago. Humanity has thus a very ancient origin; much more ancient than contemporary science acknowledges, for the latter traces human roots no further back than between one and two hundred thousand years.2 In this publication we shall try to trace some of the present known human races back to their root and sub-race origins.

When undertaking such a task it must be emphasized that despite the presence of a gamut of differences humanity in essence is one.3 And it must also be mentioned that like in a gamut of colours one colour blends into another human races too have blended into each other, leaving chances low to find pure race types.4 Further it must be understood that although they may be traced back to different root races all contemporary races develop under the same contemporary cycle, making them in general similar in consciousness.5, 6 And to close this introduction it must be kept in mind that the given information in the ageless wisdom is not complete in detail. Some race origins must be induced or left open. With these remarks in mind the task can proceed.

We shall apply a chronological method. The oldest contemporary races shall be started with. And these are some of the Australian and Tasmanian aboriginals, as also the Chinese Ainus. These people are considered to have a direct lineage with the less evolved races of the seventh sub-race of the third, or Lemurian, root race.7, 8, 9, 10 There is also a lineage of that Lemurian sub-race that during its evolution mixed with less evolved sub-races of the fourth, or Atlantean, root race. Offsprings of this lineage we find today with the natives of Borneo, the Papuas, the Negritos of that wider region, the Andaman Islanders, the Veddhas of Sri Lanka, the Bushmen (or San people) and Hottentots of Africa and the Eskimos.11, 12, 13 It is predicted that these races with Lemurian roots shall soon (within seven hundred years) disappear almost fully.14, 15, 16, 17

Next in order of age can be called the Polynesians. For they are said to stem from the earliest of the surviving sub-races of the fourth, or Atlantean, root race.18 The Polynesians are also predicted to disappear.19

A larger and more vital race is the yellow or Asian race, as found in China and Japan.20 They are younger than the above mentioned races but stem still from the earlier sub-races of the Atlantean root race.21 Mongolians are a bit younger, descending from the fifth sub-race of the fourth root race.22

Africans descend from a branch of the seventh sub-race of the fourth root race.23, 24 With these Africans the above mentioned third root race African tribes are not included, which goes also for the African Arabian races, who came later.25

Most contemporary races that are not mentioned above and will not be mentioned below are of Atlantean descent but not all could be traced back to their sub-race. This goes for instance for the North- and South-American Indians,26 and also for the South-Indian Dravidians, who already inhabited India before the first sub-race of the fifth root race, or Aryan race, invaded the North of India.27, 28

So the Indo-European speaking, northern, Indians belong to the first sub-race of the fifth root race.29 This sub-race is said to be nearly one million years of age.30 They are the most spiritual race at the moment.31 This is in analogy with the first root race, which was the most spiritual root race.32

From northern India the Aryan race spread towards Europe and the Mediterranean area, developing different subsequent sub-races. The Egyptians are mentioned to belong to the second sub-race.33 But then we are probably not speaking about the original Egyptians, the so called 'East-Aethiopians', who are said the stem from the South-Indians, which would be the Dravidians.34 When Blavatsky calls these Dravidians in this context 'dark-skinned Aryans' the word 'Aryan' should probably be taken in its meaning of 'noble warrior' instead of as a root race designation.35 The Dravidians and their Egyptian colony were pre-Brahmanic, pre-Vedic and thus pre-Aryan, the latter in the racial sense.36, 37 So originally Egypt was populated by East-Aethiopians, who's lands were later invaded by the second sub-race of the Aryan root race, the offspring of the northern Indians. Thus Egypt became a reflection of India, where the Dravidian lands were invaded by first sub-race Aryans.38 This is supported by the mention that the first Egyptian pyramids were built by Atlanteans,39 after which the East-Aethiopians are called 'the mighty builders',40 signifying that the latter were standing in that Atlantean tradition, therewith indicating them and the Dravidians as of Atlantean descent.

The third sub-race of the fifth root race is probably represented by the people of the Middle-East, a wide area from the east of Turkey to the west of Iran, consisting of Arabians and Semites. This assumption is induced from several pieces of information. Blavatsky mentioned that the Europeans as an Aryan sub-race developed from the third sub-race in Europe and Asia Minor.41 And as link between the Aryans west of Asia Minor and the original Indian Aryans are the Akkadians mentioned,42 a people that inhabited roughly the lands from Asia Minor to western Iran. The Aryans of the Middle East are thus as a third Aryan sub-race geographically placed between the first sub-race of the Indians to the east,43 the second sub-race of the Egyptians at the south and the subsequent sub-races of the Europeans at the west. This third sub-race is considered to be physically the most perfected.44 This in analogy with the third root race, which was the most physical root race.45

The Mediterranean Europeans then form the fourth Aryan sub-race (replacing the original Atlantean inhabitants).46 This can be induced from the conception that fourth sub-races follow after third sub-races, from Blavatsky's remark that the European sub-race developed from the third sub-race, and from the ageless wisdom teaching that the north-western Europeans regard the fifth sub-race.47 This induction fits with the considerations that the Mediterranean European Aryans (in particular the Greeks and Romans) are the oldest Aryans of Europe and that they are geographically the closest to Asia Minor.

Thus we arrive at the present fifth Aryan sub-race, that of the north-western Europeans.48 With 'present' it is of course not meant that the other sub-races are not existent anymore, but rather that we are now in the fifth cycle of the fifth root race, which is catalysed or enacted by the north-western Europeans.49 They are now around the apex of their cycle.50 This sub-race is considered to be intellectually the most perfected.51 And this again in analogy with the fifth root race (the Aryan), in which cycle the mind is developed.52 Interesting to mention is that the Hominidae skulls and bones that have been found in Europe are said to be the remains of extinct Atlantean human races that had populated the lands before the Aryans came,53 (and this narrative can of course be extended mutatis mutandis for such finds in other areas).

Having presently arrived around the apex of the fifth sub-race already the first specimens of the sixth sub-race are beginning to appear.54 This sixth sub-race is mostly evolving from the Caucasian race and shall most likely have its focus in North-America.55 However the coming to being of this sub-race is a worldwide phenomenon, and species have also been spotted among the Asians of China and Japan.56 This sixth sub-race shall be more intuitional and will develop the abstract mind (in succession of the fifth sub-race, which has been and is developing the concrete mind).57

Interesting here is that the present preparation of the sixth sub-race coincides with the arrival of the new age,58 which will implement the energy of universality.59 And part of the Divine Plan in the bringing forward of the sixth sub-race is the admixture of races, which will bring about a more hybrid race.60

The above is also in analogy with the sixth root race, in which a synthesis of human experience shall be started.61 And like in the seventh root race this synthesis shall be completed,62 so this can in analogy also be expected in the seventh sub-race of the present fifth root race. Those times however lay far ahead.

After this, in about 25,000 years, they will launch into preparations for the seventh sub-race; until, in consequence of cataclysms—the first series of those which must one day destroy Europe, and still later the whole Aryan race (and thus affect both Americas), as also most of the lands directly connected with the confines of our continent and isles—the Sixth Root-Race will have appeared on the stage of our Round."

This must, whether regarded as right or wrong according to the code of ethics and standards of the observer, produce an entirely new situation with which the world of the future will have to cope; it must inevitably break down national prejudices and racial barriers—the first producing more effect than the latter during the initial stages. Inevitably a more homogeneous humanity will appear during the changes of the next one hundred years. Many attitudes and many customary reactions which today hold sway will vanish, and types and qualities and characteristics for which we have as yet no precedent will appear upon a large scale."
