The ingredients are fit for about two portions.

  • 2 Cups mixed vegetables (like carrot, cauliflower, green beans, potato and pumpkin).
  • 1 Spoon ghī or sesame oil.
  • ¼ Teaspoon bay leaf powder.
  • ¼ Teaspoon ginger powder.
  • ½ Teaspoon tumeric powder.
  • ½ Teaspoon coriander powder.
  • 1 Litre water.
  • ¼ Teaspoon black pepper powder.
  • 1 Teaspoon salt.


  • Wash and cut the vegetables.
  • Heat the ghī or sesame oil, add the bay leaf, ginger, tumeric and coriander and fry them for a few moments.
  • Add the vegetables and fry them for a few moments.
  • Add the water and let everything cook on a moderate flame untill the vegetables are done.
  • Add the black pepper and salt.
