§

The so called 'Abrahamic religions' are a family of religions consisting of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which in that chronological order came to being through the presumed prophets Moses, Jesus and Mohammed.1

According to the ageless wisdom Moses was a second degree disciple, who both on a soul and a personality level was ruled by the sixth ray of idealism or devotion.2, 3 He is however also considered as an expression of the first ray of power, will or purpose, for he was a lawgiver, and lawgiving is an expression of that ray.4, 5 He gave the Jews the ten commandments, which are mostly negative formulations in the form of 'thy shalt not...'.6, 7, 8

Moses as a first ray expression may here lay the relation to Jews when they are considered as being ruled by the first ray on the soul level. However on a personality level and in general Jews are considered to be dominated by the third ray of active, creative intelligence.9 This third ray is also the ray governing materialism, separativeness and money, and these are themes which we often see return among the followers of Judaism.10

Jesus is in the ageless wisdom considered as a fourth degree initiate with a sixth ray soul and a first ray personality.11 And Christianity is also considered to be ruled by the sixth ray.12 However the sixth ray of devotion (being a minor or attribute ray) is closely related to the second ray of love-wisdom (being a major or aspect ray), especially where religion in general and Christianity in particular are concerned.13, 14, 15 So in a threefold instead of a sevenfold system of interpretation,16 Christianity would definitely be considered as a second ray religion.17

Christianity as a second ray religion also corresponds with the teachings of Jesus. For where Moses gave ten, mostly negative, commandments to the Jews, there Jesus gave basically one, positive, injunction to humanity, namely to love.18, 19, 20

Jesus as a sixth ray initiate was, according to the ageless wisdom, aligned with the Christ as a second ray lord.21 And the principle of love is also called 'the Christ principle', and Jesus Christ and through him Christianity have been named after this second ray love principle.22

Mohammed then, to conclude the list of Abrahamic prophets, is considered as a third degree initiate with a second ray soul and a third ray personality.23 The religion which he founded, Islam, sometimes called 'Mohammedanism', is in the ageless wisdom not considered as a root religion, but as a form of Christianity with a Jewish influence.24 Islam then can in a threefold system of interpretation be considered as a second ray religion with a third ray influence, reflecting the rays of Mohammed's soul and personality. However in the sevenfold system of interpretation of the ageless wisdom Islam is considered to be, like Christianity, a sixth ray religion.25 And in this sense it is interesting to note that like the sixth ray Jesus was overshadowed by the Christ, Mohammed is considered to have been overshadowed by Jesus (who by then had become a master).26, 27

It is however interesting to notice the chronology of the appearances of these Abrahamic religions. For Judaism came first, after which Christianity followed, after which Islam concluded the three. This is interesting because it reflects the chronology of the incarnations of our solar logos in three different solar systems. The previous system developed the intelligence of matter, the present develops the love-wisdom of Christ and the next shall develop the will of the Father.28 And with Judaism reflecting the materialism of system three and Christianity the love of system two, it can be induced that Islam reflects the will of system one. And this then positions Islam as a first ray religion.

In line with the above considerations, in Judaism the separative qualities of ray three can be recognized.29 Jews consider themselves as God's chosen people and they have therefore no interest to spread their religion among others. In Christianity the unifying qualities of ray two can be recognized. Christians consider love and charity as the greatest virtues and they are keen to share and spread their religion through preaching and teaching.30, 31, 32 And in Islam then the destructive qualities of ray one can be recognized.33 Mohammed was a conqueror, and the tendency to spread religion by violent imposition is also present in Islam.34 It can be said that the ideology of Judaism is Zionism, of Christianity caritativism and of Islam jihadism.

That in this overview for Judaism and Islam vices are mentioned and for Christianity a virtue is not necessarily unreasonable. Our present solar system develops the love-wisdom aspect, and this makes emphasizing this aspect virtuous. Putting an emphasis on materialism was virtuous in the previous solar system, but in our present system it has become a vice.35 And to put an emphasis on will and power will be virtuous in the next solar system, but is now also not proper. In this manner we may rightly consider Christianity with its emphasis on love virtuous and Judaism and Islam with their emphasises on materialism and power vicious.

The ageless wisdom thus pleads for the dissolution of the third ray orthodox Judaism and a (re)turn to the second ray Christ.36, 37 About Islam nothing explicit is said, but for as far as it is under the first ray, its appearance is premature. And when Islam is not considered as a first ray religion but as a hybrid of Christianity and Judaism, and when Judaism is meant to disappear, then Islam still will need to clear itself from its Jewish elements.

The Jews are characterised by separativeness, obstructing their integration in the countries they live in,38 and we may recognize this tendency also with the Muslims. They too integrate difficultly in different societies. The Islam then is also mainly present among those people who are, together with the Hebrew Jews, considered Semites (and this in contradistinction with Christianity, which is mainly found among the Latins and Germanics),39, 40 so their Jewish affiliation can be inferred.

The above does however not mean that Christianity as a religion is without blame. Christianity has become an institutionalized churchianity, and this then is Christianity's vice.41, 42 In earlier contemplations this Christianity free from churchianity was called 'Christism' (whereby the 'churchianity' of the ageless wisdom was left with the name 'Christianity').43 And to a move thereto all Abrahamic religions are called. The Abrahamic religions are all called to put aside their separatism, power hunger and dogmatism, to thus move towards the love of Christ, towards true caritativism.
