Een mens is een ziel in een lichaam.¹ Deze ziel wordt gesymboliseerd door de zon en dit lichaam wordt gesymboliseerd door de maan.² Dus de menselijke ziel kan 'de zonnemens' genoemd worden en het menselijk lichaam 'de maanmens'. In de tijdloze wijsheid worden termen als 'zonne-engel' [of 'solaire engel'] en 'agnisvatta' gebruikt om te verwijzen naar de ziel en 'maanengel' [of 'lunaire engel'] en 'lunaire pitri' om te verwijzen naar het lichaam.^{3, 4} Nu hebben de zielen van mensen, die worden beschouwd als de echte mensen,⁵ en de lichamen van mensen in principe hun onafhankelijke ontwikkelingen. Echter er zijn tijdsperiodes waarin beide samenvallen. Wanneer lichamen in een dusdanige conditie zijn dat ze kunnen bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van de zielen, en de zielen aan de ontwikkeling van de lichamen, dan vinden incarnaties van specifieke zielen in specifieke lichamen plaats. Wanneer nu in de tijdloze wijsheid wortelrassen worden genoemd dan wordt aan de ene kant gerefereerd aan een specifiek type van menselijk bewustzijn en aan de andere kant aan het collectief van menselijke lichamen dat fysiek zo'n type van bewustzijn representeert. Menselijk bewustzijn als een parallelle en tijdelijk samenvallende evolutie is aangeraakt in 'Ageless Wisdom, Classifications of Humanity' [in het Nederlands 'Tijdloze wijsheid, Classificaties van de mensheid'].⁶ en hier zullen we ons richten op de fysieke wortelras-representaties.

De tijdloze wijsheid noemt zeven wortelrassen per globe [of bol], alsook zeven globes per keten en zeven ketenen per planetaire logos.⁷ Onze planetaire logos ontwikkelt zich via zeven ketens, die zich elk via zeven globes ontwikkelen, die zich elk via zeven wortelrassen ontwikkelen (hoewel een globe-ontwikkeling meer omvat natuurlijk dan enkel menselijke ontwikkeling). Ons punt van ontwikkeling kan gevonden worden in de vierde keten op de vierde globe. Onze huidige keten wordt ook 'de aardketen' genoemd en de vorige keten wordt 'de maanketen' genoemd.^{8, 9}

Aan het einde van elke globe-ronde binnen een keten worden de lichamelijke essenties van elk rijk op die globe overgebracht naar de overeenstemmende globe van de volgende ketenronde.¹⁰ Bijvoorbeeld de lichamelijke essenties van het minerale rijk van de eerste globe van de eerste keten worden na het einde van de desbetreffende globe-ronde overgebracht naar de eerste globe van de tweede keten. Dit betekent dat de lichamelijke essenties van de mensheid van de vierde globe van de derde keten bij het sluiten van die globe overgebracht werden naar de vierde globe van de vierde keten. De lunaire essenties van de aardglobe van de maanketen werden overgebracht naar de aardglobe van de aardketen.

Bovenstaande betekent dat het eerste wortelras van onze huidige globe geboren werd uit het zevende wortelras van de corresponderende globe van de vorige keten, zijnde de maanketen. Het is daarom dat dit wortelras 'schaduwgeboren' kan worden genoemd. De lunaire pitri's van de aardglobe van de maanketen hebben hun schaduwen zogezegd geworpen op de aardglobe van de aardketen, en uit die schaduwen werd het eerste wortelras gevormd.¹¹ Deze schaduwen bestonden uit etherische substantie (welke H.P. Blavatsky 'astraal' noemde)¹² en het eerste ras was dus erg etherisch van aard.¹³ Dit ras wordt ook 'zelfgeboren' genoemd.¹⁴ Zonder sekse zijnde plantten ze zich vergelijkbaar met amoeben voort via celdeling.^{15, 16} Hun lichamen waren echter nog niet ontwikkeld genoeg om de solaire engelen te huizen, dus die laatste incarneerden niet echt in het eerste wortelras,¹⁷ en het ras bleef onintelligent en zonder spraak.¹⁸ Dit eerste wortelras verscheen ongeveer één komma zes miljard jaren geleden en werd beheerst door de Wet van Onderdompeling, de onderdompeling indicerend van menselijk leven in materie.^{19, 20, 21}

Uit het eerste wortelras ontwikkelde het tweede wortelras, de zogenoemde 'Hyperboreanen'.²² Dit wortelras was fysiek vaster en mensachtiger²³ maar was nog steeds etherisch, het de naam van 'botloos' ras gevend.²⁴ In dit wortelras verscheen de eerste vonk van intelligentie,²⁵ maar zielen incarneerden nog steeds niet volledig.^{26, 27} Hun spraak was daardoor beperkt tot klinkerexpressies.²⁸ Dit wortelras wordt ook 'zweetgeboren' genoemd omdat, a-seksueel zijnde, ze zich voortplantten via de secretie van substantie, zoals planten doen wanneer ze spruiten.^{29, 30, 31, 32} Dit tweede wortelras werd beheerst door de Wet van Capitulatie, de capitulatie indicerend van materie aan de drang van de menselijke geest om te incarneren.^{33, 34}

Uit dit tweede wortelras ontwikkelde zich het derde wortelras. Het was tijdens dit wortelras dat de mens fysiek uithardde.^{35, 36} Bij de start van de ontwikkeling plantte het derde wortelras zich nog steeds voort via substantiesecretie, waardoor aan het vroege derde wortelras ook gerefereerd wordt met 'zweetgeborene'.³⁷ Echter na verloop van tijd veranderde deze manier van voortplanten naar ei-legging, het derde ras ei-geboren makend,³⁸ waarna een ontwikkeling naar baarmoedergeboorte plaatsvond.³⁹ Deze ontwikkeling ging samen met een ontwikkeling van sekseloosheid via androgynie naar een scheiding tussen twee seksen. Tegen het einde van het vierde subras waren nieuwgeboren mensen niet in staat om direct te lopen en tegen het einde van het vijfde subras werden mensen geboren zoals nu.⁴⁰ Het was toen dat de lichamen volledig uitgehard waren en ook geschikt voor zielen om erin te incarneren.^{41, 42} Individualisatie vond plaats en de echte mensheid was geboren (want tot dan waren mensen niet echt onderscheiden van dieren).⁴³ Dit gebeurde ongeveer achttienmiljoen jaren geleden.⁴⁴ Begiftigd met een vonk van intelligentie en geleid door heilige leraren was dit wortelras in staat om wat rudimentaire vormen van spraak en beschaving te vormen.^{45, 46} Dit derde wortelras wordt ook 'het Lemurische ras' genoemd, genaamd naar het continent Lemurië waarop ze leefden.⁴⁷ Het doel van dit derde wortelras was de ontwikkeling van en controle over het fysieke lichaam, en hiervoor werden hatha- en laya-yoga beoefend.^{48, 49} Hun ondeugd was promiscuïteit, leidend tot de syfilitische ziekten.⁵⁰ Met betrekking tot de Lemurische ondeugd is het ook een opmerkelijke lering dat de huidige Hominidae (de menselijke primaten) het resultaat zijn van een procreatie door denkloze Lemurianen met dieren.⁵¹ Dit derde wortelras werd beheert door de Wet van Materialisatie of Verborgen Straling, welke namen refereren aan de solidificatie van het lichaam aan de ene kant en het incarneren van de ziel daarin aan de andere kant.^{52, 53}

Uit dit Lemurische ras werd het vierde wortelras ontwikkeld. Het Lemurische continent zonk weg en het vierde wortelras leefde op het continent van Atlantis, waarvan de naam 'Atlantisch ras' is afgeleid.^{54, 55} In dit vierde wortelras werd emotie ontwikkeld.⁵⁶ Begeerte en hebzucht waren hun ondeugden, leidend tot de tuberculosische ziekten,⁵⁷ en de onderdrukking daarvan leidde tot de kankerachtige ziekten.⁵⁸ Hun yoga was bhakti-yoga,⁵⁹ gericht op de transformatie van begeerte in devotie.⁶⁰ Emotie was zo goed ontwikkeld in dit wortelras dat zelf ons huidige, het vijfde, wortelras nog steeds in zijn algemeenheid emotioneel gepolariseerd is.^{61, 62} Tijdens deze ontwikkeling werd de deur naar individualisatie (waardoor dieren konden ingaan in het mensenrijk) gesloten.⁶³ Het Atlantische ras was in zijn verschillende subrassen erg gevarieerd met kleuren van zwart, bruin, rood, wit en geel, en met hoogten variërend van dwergachtig tot gigantisch.⁶⁴ Openlijk onderwezen door de Meesters van de Heilige Hiërarchie bereikten ze ongeëvenaarde niveau's van beschaving.^{65, 66} Geleid door begeerte misbruikten ze echter de gegeven kennis en veel van hen startte met het praktiseren van zwarte magie. Dit deed de Meesters Zich bij een grote confrontatie tussen witte en zwarte magiërs terugtrekken uit openbaarheid,⁶⁷ en het Atlantische continent zonk in de zuiverende oceaan om plaats te maken voor een nieuw continent.⁶⁸ Dit vierde wortelras werd beheerst door de Wet van de Getijden, de fluïde getijden indicerend van emotioneel bewustzijn.^{69, 70}

Het nieuwe continent werd de habitat van het vijfde wortelras, ook genaamd 'het Arische ras',⁷¹ dat oprees uit het Atlantische ras. De naam 'Arisch' wordt in de tijdloze wijsheid niet gebruikt in de abusieve Duitse betekenis,⁷² hoewel wat verwarrend soms ook de term 'Caucasisch' wordt toegepast om aan dit ras te refereren.⁷³ Dit is wat verwarrend omdat, hoewel de tijdloze wijdheid de term 'caucasisch' heeft gebruikt om te refereren aan de Indo-Europese of Arische rassen,⁷⁴ het hedendaagse gebruik dominant (hoewel niet exclusief) enkel refereert aan de blanke rassen.⁷⁵ Het Arische ras had, samen met bepaalde Atlantische rassen, overleefd op het hoge Aziatische plateau, waar vandaan die eerste de nieuw oprijzende landen koloniseerden van de regio van India tot de regionen van de Middellandse Zee en Europa. De Atlantische rassen van verschillende kleuren verspreidden zich naar andere gebieden zoals Oost-Azië, Afrika en de Amerika's, en er waren er ook die geïsoleerd raakten op eilanden vanwege oprijzende wateren.⁷⁶ Zo overleefden spruiten van Atlantische rassen tot op heden onder de nieuwe Arische rassen, zoals er ook nog steeds overblijfselen van de Lemurische rassen gevonden worden in en om Australië.⁷⁷ Alleen ontwikkelen zich echter onder de invloed van de vijfde rascyclus waarin het denken wordt ontwikkeld.^{78, 79} In deze cyclus van het vijfde wortelras zijn we gearriveerd bij het vijfde van zeven subrassen,⁸⁰ waarbij het zesde subras nu wordt voorbereid.⁸¹ Het is ook in onze huidige periode dat de Meesters van de Hiërarchie weer openlijk gaan werken onder de mensheid.⁸² De ondeugd van het vijfde wortelras is afgescheidenheid,⁸³ en zijn yoga is Raja-yoga.⁸⁴ Het vijfde wortelras wordt beheerst door de Wet van Scheidingen, de neiging van het denken indicerend om af te scheiden.^{85, 86}

Het zesde wortelras zal ontwikkeld worden tegen het einde van ons vijfde wortelras. Dit wortelras wordt beoogd de intuïtie te ontwikkelen.⁸⁷ Aangenomen wordt dat tegen het einde van het zesde wortelras zich een uiteindelijke confrontatie zal voordoen tussen zwarte en witte magiërs.⁸⁸ Dit zesde wortelras zal beheerst worden door de Wet van Liefdevol Begrip.⁸⁹

Het zesde wortelras zal ook een synthese starten van alles wat de mensheid heeft verzameld in ontwikkeling en het zevende wortelras zal die synthese completeren.⁹⁰ Het kan dus aangenomen worden dat het zevende wortelras beheerst zal worden door de Wet van Synthese.⁹¹
